Intent
The Barndoor Sink is a radical farmhouse-style workstation sink concept which prioritizes prep space and sink storage. Unusually deep, the front fold-out allows extra work space and extra levels to the workstation, allowing more space for accessories and a space to hide dirty dishes.

Process
I started with a bunch of 2D monotone hand sketches. From there I created various rough CAD prototypes before selecting a final idea. I then created a full scale mockup with cardboard and wood to test the dimensions and ergonomics of the sink. I found that the foldout was at a sufficient height, and the sink's depth was still manageable.
Expansion Opportunities
Multiple existing features of the design allow for expansions which could be sold separately as add-ons.
Cutting board or granite slab covers wash basin for even more counterspace
